Learning outcomes: Upon completion the student should be able to
Contents: This course will introduce students to a range of theoretical approaches to literary and cultural criticism, and give them opportunities to practice applying them to selected cultural texts.
Mode of delivery: The course will be organized online and will comprise of independent study, reading and writing as well as online forum discussions.
Learning activities and teaching methods: Problem-solving activities and other online assignments through which students will complete a written portfolio.
Prerequisites and co-requisites: Introduction to Literature in English
Recommended optional programme components: The course is an independent entity and does not require additional studies carried out at the same time.
Recommended or required reading: To be agreed with the course teacher
Assessment methods and criteria: Assessment will be based on the written portfolio and active participation in online activities.
Grading: The course utilises a numerical grading scale (1–5). In the numerical scale zero stands for a fail.
Other information: The course is compulsory in the Intermediate Studies of English Philology.
